Abdullah Gergawi, 20, a resident of Segev Shalom, against whom an indictment was filed today (Tuesday) for planning an attack at the Forum club in Beersheba and maintaining ties with ISIS elements - described during his interrogation his intention to harm revelers.

The new details revealed from his interrogation indicate that Gergaoui planned to blow up the club in the city's Park neighborhood while it was full of partygoers, and then also carry out a shooting attack.

""I wanted to blow up the people dancing there - Jews or Arabs," he said during his interrogation at the Southern Military District. "I was thinking of Beersheba, but I didn't think about where I would shoot.".

According to the indictment, around February 2026, he began planning to place a car bomb in the area of the Forum club in Beer Sheva and to remotely activate the charges while people were there. As part of the preparations, Gergaoui searched the Internet and downloaded instructions for making explosives from YouTube.

Transcripts of his interrogation were published in the edition of 'Kan News':

Investigator: Where did you plan to carry out a shooting attack in Beersheba?

Gergavi: I thought about Beersheba, but I didn't think about where I would shoot.

Investigator: After you prepared the charges, what did you intend to do with them?

Gergavi: Go and blow up a club in Beer Sheva

Researcher: Which club?

Gergavi: There is a club in the park neighborhood (in the reconstruction, Gergavi took the researchers to "the forum")

Investigator: Who are the people you wanted to blow up?

Gergavi: I wanted to blow up the people dancing there, whether they were Jews or Arabs

He told his interrogation about making the bomb: "Before Ramadan, I searched YouTube for how to make explosives. The video said I needed lime, sulfur, and coal. I found lime in my warehouse. I took a cup of lime, coal, and sulfur, ground them, and mixed them in the yard. I tried to light them and a spark and smoke came out. I looked for sulfur in the junkyard, but they wouldn't sell it to me, so I just took sulfur from matches.".

Gergaoui is charged with crimes of contact with a foreign agent, providing services or means to a terrorist organization, preparation for an act of terrorism, training or instruction for terrorist purposes, as well as weapons offenses of both possession and carrying and transporting.
