Degel HaTorah Chairman MK Moshe Gafni opened the school year this morning (Monday) with a special tour of Torah and educational institutions in Jerusalem, along with his office staff.
The tour began at the Torah Talmud 'Kehilit Kamenitz' in the Neve Yaakov and Pisgat Ze'ev neighborhood, the largest Torah Talmud in the country, with over 2,200 students.
MK Gafni toured the site, visited the classrooms and met with the educational staff.
From there he continued to the 'Nativ HaDaat - Kaplan' yeshiva in the Ramot neighborhood, where he spoke with the yeshiva's head Rabbi Schreiber and the yeshiva staff, and closely observed the development and prosperity of the yeshiva.
The tour concluded at the Torah Talmud "Hokmat Shlomo" in the Sanhedria neighborhood, which has over 1,600 students.

The chairman of Degel visited the classrooms, spoke with the educational staff, and wished the students and staff "a successful school year, a year of learning Torah and fearing God.".
Gafni said during the tour: "It is exciting to see thousands of Israeli children starting another year of Torah study with joy and enthusiasm. In the face of all attempts to harm the world of Torah and Haredi education, the answer is here, in the study halls and in the full classrooms. This voice of Torah cannot and will not be stopped!""
