Yair Lapid, chairman of the collapsing Yesh Atid party, addressed in a closed conversation the "waste of votes" in the left-wing bloc - and presented the chairman of the left-wing Yeshar party, Gadi Eisenkot, as a political novice.

Lapid said: "I can't sort things out after Eisenkot. If he is the head of this bloc, that's his job.".

During the conversation, which took place several weeks ago and was published this evening (Wednesday) by Ya'arev Shapira in 'Kan Hadesot', Lapid did not explain how he believes it is right to "sort out the bloc," arguing that it is no longer his responsibility.

The remarks were made against the backdrop of growing tension between Lapid and Bennett's "Together" party, which is falling in the polls but is still trying to claim the premiership, and Gadi Eisenkot, whose "Yashar" party is the largest in the bloc - by a large margin.

Bihad's attempt to present Eisenkot as a political novice, who has difficulty managing the political strategy of the "anti-Netanyahu" camp, is done officially with great subtlety, but is echoed in messages from party leaders to activists on various occasions.

No response was provided from Lapid's side.
