A police force that was called this morning (Sunday) around 5:00 AM to the Haredi Achismekh-Ganei Ayalon neighborhood in Lod following a complaint about noise, detained for questioning a man identified as a deserter from the IDF - and summoned representatives of the military police to the scene.
Following the activation of an alert system that updates on the arrests of deserters, dozens of residents arrived at the scene in a short time, rejoicing at the arrest.
Due to concerns that the evacuation of the deserter would lead to violent disturbances, a police officer from the Lod station decided to release the suspect before the arrival of military police forces.
Upon the announcement of his release, those present at the venue broke out into wild dancing.
