A jump in fuel prices: The Fuel and Gas Administration at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure announces that at midnight between Saturday and Sunday, the prices of regulated fuel products will jump.
The maximum price per liter of unleaded 95 octane gasoline for the consumer at a self-service station (including VAT) will not exceed 8.09 shekels per liter - an increase of 61 agorot from the previous month. A surcharge for full service will be 25 agorots per liter.
The maximum price per liter of unleaded 95 octane gasoline for the consumer at a self-service station in Eilat (excluding VAT) will not exceed 6.85 shekels per liter - an increase of 51 agorot from last month. A surcharge for full service will be 21 agorot.
The surge in fuel prices is mainly due to increasing tensions in the Gulf and the ongoing American attacks against Iranian regime targets.
Traffic problems in the Strait of Hormuz due to Iranian behavior, and the strengthening of the dollar exchange rate also affect prices.
After an increase of 1.03 shekels per liter in April and another increase of two agorats in May, a cumulative decrease of 59 agorats per liter was recorded in June and July. Now, following developments in the world, the price is rising again.
The price of gasoline at the station is based on the average fuel prices in the Mediterranean Basin over the five trading days preceding the last two working days of each month. The price also includes a basket of marketing expenses, excise tax, and value-added tax.
