The Ministry of Economy and Industry announced today (Wednesday) an immediate recall of a Chinese-made baby stroller sold in Israel - which could cause injuries.
This is a 4-in-1 stroller, model G308, manufactured by ZhongShan EV Baby Daily Products, which is also marketed under the MeiLY+ brand.
The Ministry of Economy and Industry stated: "In an inspection conducted on behalf of the Commissioner for Standardization through the Standards Institute, it was found that the product does not meet the requirements of the official Israeli standard.".
The defects discovered in the product:
Lack of a double locking mechanism - the stroller may fold unintentionally and cause injury, entrapment, or the baby to fall.
Failure to pass the stability test - which poses a risk of the stroller tipping over.
A defect in the leg lift mechanism that includes openings that could cause organ entrapment
There are no parking and braking devices when transporting the baby facing forward.
The importer "Yonma Israel" calls on the public to immediately stop using the product and bring it for repair at the importer's warehouses at 2 Moffat Kadesh, Givat Shmuel.
