Members of the "Herz" Panikim faction, a faction within the Jerusalem faction, are blocking Highway 4 this evening (Thursday) in the area of the Geha Interchange near Bnei Brak and on Jabotinsky Street near Petah Tikva.
Police forces are working to maintain public order at the demonstration.
A police officer on the scene declared the demonstration illegal and despite attempts to negotiate, rioters continue to gather at the scene, shouting at the police. The police continue to remove the vehicles and direct traffic.
Later this evening, a protest demonstration by thousands of Sanz Hasidim is expected in front of Military Prison 10, with the participation of the Rebbe and rabbis, in protest of the arrest of two 'renegades' from Hasidism - Avrech and Bhur.
The police announced that there may be changes to traffic arrangements on Highway 4, from Malof Sadeh to Lam Moshavot in both directions. In addition, traffic congestion and blockages are expected on the Jabotinsky Highway in Bnei Brak.
