
Despite the ongoing war: Data from the monthly report published today (Wednesday) by the Ministry of Finance indicates that the Israeli economy continues to present positive data in the face of security and global challenges.
The monthly deficit in June was approximately 8.6 billion shekels, while the deficit in June last year amounted to a deficit of approximately 16.8 billion shekels. The cumulative deficit over the past 12 months amounted to approximately 3.31% of GDP - a decrease of approximately 0.4 percentage points.
State revenues in June stood at approximately NIS 45.7 billion. Since the beginning of the year, revenues totaled approximately NIS 307 billion, compared to approximately NIS 275.7 billion in the corresponding period last year - an increase of approximately 11.41% compared to the corresponding period last year. This figure indicates lively and positive economic activity in the Israeli economy.
Government spending in June stood at approximately NIS 54.3 billion. Since the beginning of the year, spending has totaled approximately NIS 313.8 billion, compared to approximately NIS 308.1 billion in the corresponding period last year - an increase of approximately 1.91% compared to the corresponding period last year.
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich told Channel 7 about the data: "The resilience of Israeli citizens and the resilience of our economy, along with our responsible actions that steer the economy through almost three turbulent and challenging years of war, are yielding good results. The left-wing campaign designed to arouse economic concern among Israeli citizens is shattered in the face of the data.".
