Good news for the residents of West Binyamin: The upgrade of the Nakhliel-Beitilu road has been completed, and the final finishing work on the project is currently underway, with traffic already flowing along the new route of the road, which includes two wide lanes, regulated shoulders, and new markings.
The road, which connects Gush Dolev-Talamonim to Neve Tzuf and Ateret, is a major axis towards the center of the country, parallel to Highway 463. For years, it served as a narrow and dangerous road. It now provides a safer, wider and more convenient connection for thousands of residents of the area. The project was carried out with an investment of approximately 10 million shekels.
The Binyamin Council notes that beyond its transportation importance, the upgraded road is also expected to strengthen accessibility to the cultural, recreational, and service centers developing in the area.
Among other things, it will more conveniently and safely connect the communities of West Binyamin to the new amphitheater built in the Dolev-Talamonim block, the largest performance complex in Binyamin, and to other recreational centers being built in the area, and will also optimally connect West Binyamin to East Binyamin, with a safer, faster, and more comfortable ride.
The road upgrade is part of the road revolution taking place in Binyamin, led by the Ministry of Transportation and Netivei Israel, funded by the Ministry of Finance, in close cooperation with the Binyamin Council. Alongside the huge projects on the main roads, upgrades are also being promoted on the wide roads connecting the localities, with the aim of completing a higher-quality, safer and more efficient transportation continuum for the residents of Binyamin.
Minister of Transportation Miri Regev: “We continue to strengthen settlement through actions, not just words. Upgrading the Nakhliel-Beitilu road is part of the transportation revolution we are leading in Judea and Samaria and Binyamin in particular. A road that was narrow and dangerous for years has become a safe, wide, and advanced axis that provides residents with a better quality of life, greater safety, and better accessibility to the center of the country. We will continue to invest in infrastructure, promote new roads, and close decades-old gaps, out of a commitment to strengthening settlement and connecting all parts of the country through advanced, safe, and high-quality transportation.”
Minister of Finance, Bezalel Smotrich: "The infrastructure revolution in Binyamin continues with full force. Upgrading the Nakhliel-Beytilo highway is a vital step that will provide thousands of residents of West Binyamin with a safer, wider, and more appropriate ride to the center of the country and back. We promised to put an end to discrimination in the budgeting and paving of roads in Judea and Samaria, and we are fulfilling it, with a clear perception that the residents of the settlement are entitled to the same quality infrastructure as anywhere else in the State of Israel. In the face of the Eisenkot government vacating settlements, we are fortifying the settlement for years. We will continue to budget, develop, and strengthen this region of the country."'
Head of the Binyamin Council and Chairman of the Yesha Council Yisrael Gantz: "We continue to promote, together with the Ministry of Transportation, Netivei Yisrael and government ministries, the road revolution in Binyamin. Upgrading the Nakhliel-Beitilo road is great news for residents of Gush Dolev-Talamonim, Neve Tzuf and Ateret, and is part of correcting a long-standing gap in the transportation infrastructure in Binyamin.".
