Jerusalem District Commander Major Avshalom Peled today (Friday) revoked the order prohibiting the celebration of Rabbi Yitzhak Gavra zt"l in Moshav Ajur near Beit Shemesh, after the organizers met all the safety conditions set for them in recent days by the Israel Police and the professional experts acting on behalf of the organizers themselves.
As reported in Haredim 10, in recent days the district commander signed an order prohibiting the event, due to safety gaps that seriously jeopardized the safety of tens of thousands of those wishing to attend the celebration.
The police have made it clear over the past few months, even during the headquarters work phase, that they will not allow compromises on safety and human life.
This morning, a comprehensive and professional field tour was held in Moshav Ajur, attended by Jerusalem District Operations Division Officer, Deputy Chief Eli Levy, Yehuda Headquarters Station Commander, Lieutenant Chief Reuven Nawi, Jerusalem Border Police Regional Command, the event organizers, and professionals on their behalf.
During the tour, the organizers and professionals presented the changes, adjustments, and solutions in safety aspects that have been made in the field in recent days, in accordance with the conditions that were set.
The solutions implemented address the defined safety, traffic, fencing, and lighting requirements, with the aim of ensuring the safety and security of all participants.
In light of the correction of the deficiencies and full compliance with the instructions, the district commander announced the cancellation of the order. The celebration is expected to take place as planned on Sunday and Monday.
The Jerusalem District and the Jerusalem Border Police will operate throughout the festivities in and around the moshav, in order to secure the participants, maintain public order, and regulate traffic.
