Thousands are participating at noon (Wednesday) at the cemetery at the 'Shikun Vetykim' in Netanya for the funeral of the righteous Kabbalist Rabbi Amos Guetta zt'l, who was murdered this morning with a knife stab wound in his Netanya seminary by one of his followers.
Large and reinforced police forces are deployed along the traffic routes and in the funeral area, working to maintain public order, the safety of participants and residents, along with directing traffic and regulating traffic congestion in the area.
At the same time, United Hatzalah volunteers, medics and paramedics, are deployed in reinforced forces throughout the funeral procession and provide rapid medical response to any case that is required.
So far, United Hatzalah volunteers have provided medical treatment to a number of participants, including those with minor injuries and several cases of fainting, with all cases being treated in the field.
Highway 2 southbound, from the Einstein Interchange, is blocked to traffic following the funeral.
The police previously announced that "preparations for securing his funeral have been completed - streets will be closed to traffic, congestion is expected in the area.".
During the funeral procession, Degania Street, Rabbi Neriah Street, and the cemetery parking lot were closed to traffic, and traffic congestion is expected in the area.

The commander of the Central District, Superintendent Amir Cohen, assigned the investigation of the murder to Lt. Col. Sharon. After a manhunt carried out together with detectives from the Netanya police station, the murder suspect, a resident of Netanya, was arrested.
The Gal faction in the Netanya City Council, headed by Rabbi Dov Shtamer, issued a statement of mourning: "Rabbi Amos, as the residents of Netanya called him, was a figure with a profound influence on a very broad public who saw him as a listening ear to every distress and problem by virtue of his greatness in the Torah and his understanding of the souls of his students and followers.".
Rabbi Shtmer said: "His image will accompany all of us for many years. I was privileged to meet him several times and see a learned scholar with a special stature and a special light in his eyes. In a conversation that the grandson of Rabbi Amos zt"l had with the Admor of Sanz, the Rebbe said: 'Sometimes there is a decree from heaven that does not allow time to pray.'.
