Starting this Wednesday, seven major public transportation lines will return to their familiar route on Hazon Ish Street.
This step is expected to relieve the huge traffic congestion on Rabbi Akiva Street, which has recently become a trap for thousands of families and children.
The intercity lines will resume operating as they did before the start of the work in Zon Ish: these are lines 402 and 412 to Jerusalem, 350 to Ashdod, 220 and 230 to Modi'in Illit, as well as lines 680 and 681 traveling to Beit Shemesh.
The route of these lines will continue as usual without change until Rabbi Akiva Street, and from there the buses will continue their journey efficiently through Hazon Ish, Nadburna, Ezra and Rabbi Kahaneman Streets, until they leave the city limits.
Bus line 402 to Jerusalem has a significant update to its route: the line, which until now began its journey from the area of Rabbi Abu Hatzira and Sokolov streets, will extend its route and will now begin picking up passengers in the Ayalon Mall area. From there, the line will pass through Ben Gurion Street and the Jabotinsky Avenue, enter Rabbi Akiva Street and connect to the common route that flows through Hazon Ish, Nadburna, Ezra and Rabbi Kahaneman.
