The Fuel and Gas Administration in the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure announces that at midnight between Tuesday and Wednesday, the prices of fuel products that are under supervision and sold to consumers at gas stations will be updated.

The maximum price per liter of unleaded 95 octane gasoline for the consumer at a self-service station (including VAT) will not exceed 7.48 NIS per liter, a decrease of 32 cents from the previous update. The surcharge for full service will be 25 cents per liter (including VAT), unchanged from the previous update.

The maximum price per liter of unleaded 95 octane gasoline for the consumer at a self-service station in Eilat (excluding VAT) will not exceed 6.34 NIS per liter, a decrease of 27 Agorat from the previous update. The surcharge for full service will be 21 Agorat (excluding VAT), unchanged from the previous update.

Batsheva Abuhatsira, Director of the Fuel and Gas Administration at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure: "The price of gasoline at the station decreased this month by 32 agorot per liter compared to the previous update - the most significant monthly decrease in the last three months.

""Overall, since April, the price of gasoline has decreased by 59 agorot per liter. The main decrease this month is due to the weakening of gasoline prices in international markets, against the backdrop of a decrease in the risk premium in energy markets and the fading of some of the concerns about disruptions in global oil supplies.

""As a result, the international price of gasoline fell by approximately 16%. On the other hand, the strengthening of the dollar by approximately 6% against the shekel acted in the opposite direction and slightly limited the scope of the discount for the consumer. The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure once again reminds the public to compare prices between gas stations, and to choose the most affordable station.".

The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure recommends comparing prices and choosing the most profitable station for the consumer.

The Fuel and Gas Administration in the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure publishes the price of 95 RON gasoline at the station for the following month at the end of each month, in accordance with the formula established in the Order for Supervision of Prices of Commodities and Services (Maximum Prices at Gas Stations), 5762-2002.

In accordance with the order, the price of gasoline at the station is based on the average of fuel prices in the Mediterranean Basin (hereinafter – the international price) in five trading days, preceding the last two working days of each month. In addition, the price includes a basket of marketing expenses, excise tax and value added tax. The translation into shekels is carried out according to the last representative exchange rate published by the Bank of Israel before the last two working days of each month.
