Today (Thursday), Ben Gurion Airport is expected to record the highest passenger traffic since the outbreak of "Harry's Roar," with over 75,000 passengers passing through on incoming and outgoing international flights.
In July, over 2 million passengers are expected to pass through Ben Gurion Airport, an increase of approximately 251% in international passenger traffic, compared to the same period last year.
Minister of Transportation Miri Regev: "We have acted and continue to act to enable open skies for the summer and to respond to the growing demand for flights to and from Israel. The preparations include intensive work with all relevant parties, including the evacuation of some of the American planes from Ben Gurion Airport, in order to enable the expansion of the supply of flights during the summer season.""

The Airports Authority recommends that passengers:
Check in in advance.
Check in advance which terminal the flight departs from.
Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport 3 hours before flight time.
Check with the airline during the flight.
As part of the Airports Authority's preparations for the expected increase in the number of passengers during the summer months, Terminal 1 will return to operation: Starting on June 28, 2026, domestic flights will resume from Terminal 1, and starting on July 1, 2026, international flights will also resume from Terminal 1.
