MK Meir Porush convened the heads and activists of the organizing committee this evening (Wednesday) to summarize the 'vehicle protest' that took place today - and to discuss the ongoing protest measures against the persecution of Torah scholars.

MK Porush thanked all those involved in the sacred work and praised the team's work and tireless activity for the honor of the Torah and the honor of God.

The participants discussed initial lessons learned, and offered suggestions and ideas for further action, should the authorities not come to their senses and stop arresting Torah students.

MK Meir Porush said at the beginning of the meeting: "We have been honored to sanctify the name of Heaven! Today we have proven that there is no path without the path of the Torah. The message that came out of the thousands of suns is clear and unambiguous: 'This is it!' The Haredi public has ceased to remain silent in the face of the trampling of the world of the Torah, the decrees and sanctions, and it stands like a wall behind the prisoners of the world of the Torah.

""The tremendous response we saw today, with nearly ten thousand vehicles coming from all over the country, proves that the God-fearing public is united as one man with one heart. We did not expect such strength, and we were even excited to see the spontaneous awakening in additional cities that joined the campaign. This is a historic event and a resounding message that cannot be ignored.".

He added: "Today we faced severe manifestations of violence, provocations and even physical threats on the roads, but our public demonstrated maturity. We were not drawn into violence, we maintained exemplary order and showed full compliance with police instructions. This is the path of the Torah and this is the true sanctification of God.".

""I call from here to the authorities: Hear the authentic cry. Immediately release the Torah life prisoners and cancel all decrees against the avrechim and yeshiva students.".

""Make no mistake about it - if our demands are not met, we will not stop here. We are prepared to continue the campaign, we will consider additional surprising courses of action, and we will act fearlessly in any way that the great Torah and Hasidic scholars instruct us.".
