A statement published by the editor of the religious Zionist weekly "Mood," media figure Hagai Huberman, to a group of journalists, is causing a stir.

Huberman, who previously also wrote in Haredi newspapers, wrote in the group: "I have long advocated the implementation of crushing every dos, destroying the Haredi.".

The message 'jumped' the group members, with one participant immediately responding: "What did you write here??".

According to a Channel 14 report, Huberman - who is affiliated with Naftali Bennett - said that his intention was to "run over any dos blocking roads during a demonstration against military conscription.".

When asked if this was a reasonable statement, he clarified that in his opinion the public response to roadblocks "due to opposition to military conscription" should be physical violence, including breaking bones, "preferably using clubs.".

The reactions to Huberman's shocking incitement were harsh: Many social media users called on the police, the Shin Bet, and the prosecutor's office to open an investigation against him for racist incitement to murder. Some of the commenters called his remarks anti-Semitic and a call for pogroms, and expressed shock that a person holding the position of newspaper editor would express himself in such a way.

While some commenters initially tried to claim that this was a joke or humor in a closed WhatsApp group, his recent comments urging the use of physical violence put the case in a much more serious and dangerous light.
