In the shadow of the terror of the arrests: In the days when yeshiva students feel the terror of the authorities on the streets, fearing that they will be arrested and find themselves behind the walls of a military prison - a select group of Sanz Yeshiva students were welcomed into the residence of Rabbi Moshe Sternbuch in Jerusalem, to receive his blessing for continued study of the Torah and the fear of God.
The young men's delegation was led by Rabbi Meir Meshulam Halberstam, son of the Rebbe of Sanz.
At the request of the Rebbe's son, Rabbi Sternbuch delivered short, fiery sermons to them, in which he emphasized the sacred duty imposed on yeshiva students of our generation: "To continue in the army of God and not be tempted.".
In his words, the yeshivah head strengthened the hearts of the young men, saying that they must stand firm and not be tempted in any way by the advice of the evil inclination that tries to cool down the learners, but rather continue to diligently pursue Torah and worship with all their might, for they are the ones who protect the generation.
Rabbi Sternbuch warmly congratulated them on the privilege of continuing to meditate on the Torah and thereby raising generations who are honest, fearing, and wholesome, according to the will of God.
At the end of his talk, all the young men were allowed to pass by and be blessed.
