The Ministry of Construction and Housing is holding a professional seminar for the Registrar of Contractors today (Sunday).
The conference was opened by Amit Grady, the Registrar of Contractors at the Ministry of Construction and Housing, who reviewed his activities and the professional steps that the department promotes in the areas of registration, classification, enforcement, and service to contractors.
In his remarks, he addressed the key challenges facing the construction industry and the importance of cooperation between the ministry, professional organizations, and the contracting public to promote a professional, high-quality, and safe construction industry.
Afterwards, Sharon Cohen, Senior Vice President for Human Resources and Administration at the Ministry of Construction and Housing, welcomed the participants. In her remarks, she emphasized the importance that the ministry attaches to strengthening the direct connection with the contracting public and maintaining an open professional dialogue that enables knowledge sharing, learning, and joint advancement of the industry.
Roni Brick, President of the Israel Builders Contractors Association, welcomed the conference and the cooperation with the Registrar of Contractors. In his remarks, he noted that in recent years significant steps have been taken to benefit the construction industry and emphasized the importance of continuing dialogue and cooperation between all parties in the industry.
During the seminar, professional updates were presented on the subjects of contractor registration and classification, enforcement procedures, the work of professional committees, digital services and regulatory changes. Sagi Tabibi, Director of the Investigations Department in the Contractors Registrar Division, reviewed the enforcement activity being carried out on construction sites across the country against lawbreakers and contractors operating in violation of the provisions of the law. Maya Shayo, Director of the Contractors Registration and Classification Division, presented the efforts to shorten procedures, improve service and the importance of submitting complete and orderly applications in order to streamline the processing of applications.

The seminar included professional lectures, a review of the activities of the Registrar of Contractors, regulatory updates, and professional discussions on the key issues on the agenda of the construction industry in Israel.
