A special event of 'Pedyon Pater Hamor' at the Meron Kadisha was held by the Gaon Rabbi Mordechai Gross, in the presence of rabbis, dayanim and teachers from the 'Yeshiva' student communities.
The event opened with sermons by the influential rabbi Aharon Teusig, the gaon Harshai Zafrani, and the rabbi of the rabbi Elazar Stern, on the sublime virtue of the mitzvah and the magnitude of its work and influence.
The hundreds of participants shouted the 13 Medot, which followed the recitation of the Psalms, with the blowing of the shofar, after which they accepted the yoke of the Kingdom of Heaven upon themselves, saying: 'Hear, O Israel,' 'The Lord is God.'.
The public followed the redeemer, Rabbi Mordechai Gross, as he asked the donkey's owner about the birth process in detail, in order to reach complete certainty that it was indeed a case of a uterine rupture according to the law.

Upon completion of the meticulous halachic clarification, the redeemer discussed the purchases with the owners of the sheep's houses - which included: 'money purchases, soder purchases, uditha, yard purchases, hand purchases, pulling, raising three taps.' After that, he excitedly blessed the blessing of redemption of the firstborn donkey and the blessing of Shechayinu, when the lamb was handed over to the priest to redeem the firstborn donkey with.
In the fulfillment of the mitzvah, the donkey was redeemed with three sheep, for fear of the kosherness of the sheep.
