Baruch Dayan, the truth teller: In the United States, Rabbi Moshe Chaim Bernstein, z"l, a Karlin-Stolin Hasidim in Tiberias and director of the Bernstein Reading Institute in the city, passed away on the holiday, at the age of 35, after a serious illness.
The deceased, z"l, was born on 13 Tammuz 5750 to his father, the late Rabbi Binyamin Ze'ev Bernstein, son of the late Rabbi Rabbi Avraham Yosef Bernstein, and to his mother, Mrs. Rachel.
In his youth, he studied at the Karlin-Stolin Hasidic institutions and when he reached adulthood, he married his wife, Mrs. Mirel Yocheved, daughter of the great Rabbi Yochanan Rosenthal.
He was one of the first settlers of the Karlin-Stolin community in Upper Tiberias. To make a living, he worked as a teacher in a Talmud Torah seminary and a reading teacher.
Five years ago, in the month of Iyar 5771, he mourned his son Mordechai Aharon Bernstein, the late, who passed away from a serious illness at the age of five and a half.
His coffin will arrive tomorrow (Monday) on El Al flight 010 and the funeral will depart from the Karlin-Stolin Great Seminary in Givat Zeev - on its way to the Beit HaChaim in Tiberias, where he will be buried.
