Tragedy on Shavuot: At the Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center in Jerusalem, Mrs. Ayla Davidson, nee Davidson of Bnei Brak, passed away on Shavuot, at the age of 33.
The deceased, A.H., was injured along with her husband in a fatal accident on Highway 1 last Friday while they were on their way to Shabbat in Jerusalem with their son, the baby Avinoam Meir Davidson, who was one month old. The baby was critically injured and the doctors at the hospital pronounced him dead. He was taken to be buried in the Elad cemetery.
The deceased was born in Bnei Brak on the 17th of Tevet 5753 to her father, the Gaon Rabbi Aharon Sellar, head of the 'Midrash Eliyahu' kollel in Elad, and to her mother, Mrs. Shulamit Rosa, daughter of the Gaon Rabbi Yitzhak Halberstadt, rabbi of the 'Ahavat Chesed' Beit Midrash in the Givaat Yeshiva of Ponevez in Bnei Brak.
In her youth, she studied at the Rabbi Wolf Seminary in Bnei Brak, and upon reaching puberty, she married her husband, the late Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Davidson Shibalchata, a student of Yeshiva Tifrah, who is part of the Ohel Avraham community in Bnei Brak.
She left behind five small children who were left motherless orphans.
The condition of her husband, Shlomo Zalman Ben Galia Iga, has improved and he is hospitalized in stable condition.
The father was informed of the passing of his son and his wife.
Her funeral procession will leave tonight at 11:30 PM from her parents' home - the Sellar family - at 22 Rav Kook Street in Bnei Brak, to the Beit HaChaim in Elad, where she will be buried.
