A mitzvah brings a mitzvah: Media personality Yinon Magal, host of the program "The Patriots," is known for the support he provides to Torah students.
Is 100,000 NIS right for you before Shavuot? Last hours for the big lottery!
Every year, he launches a campaign on his media channels called "Connecting to Torah - Issachar and Zebulun," which recruits people who take it upon themselves to sponsor young men who study Torah and do not earn enough to support their families.
This time, Magal decided to try to reach out to none other than Eyal Berkowitz - and offer him to join.
In the "Kitchen" of the 103FM radio station, where Magal meets Channel 13 presenter Eyal Berkovich for conversations, he decided to tell him about the project.
Magal explained that this year he is focusing on young men who serve in the army and reserves, and suggested that Berkowitz finance one of them - 613 shekels a month.
""Anyone who serves in the army and shares in the burden, I am willing to do everything for them," Berkowitz declared in front of the camera.
Magal testified that he himself finances a yeshiva student with such an amount - and "receives rights for the study.".
Berkowitz confirmed again that the young man in question had served in the army, and Magal added: "And he was in the reserves.".
The Channel 13 presenter decided: "I have no problem.".
The two shook hands and concluded Berkowitz's participation.
