Since the April index last year was also high, inflation remained unchanged from last month - 1.9%.
Notable price increases were recorded in April, among other things, in the prices of fresh fruit, which rose by 7.8%, transportation by (4.9%), culture and entertainment (3.4%), clothing and footwear which rose (2.4%), and home maintenance which rose (0.5%).
On the other hand, price declines were recorded in the health section, which fell by 0.11%.
The rent for tenants who renewed their contract increased by 2.6% and for new tenants, an increase of 3.6% was recorded.
It should be emphasized that these rates of change reflect an approximation of the annual rate of change in rent in these groups. This is because the rent has not changed for the vast majority of tenants over the past year, due to their being under a lease in which the monthly rent is determined, often without linkage mechanisms.
The price of apartments in the purchase stage increased by 0.3% compared to the last January-February months. In Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, an increase of 1.2% and 0.4% was recorded, respectively.
On the other hand, decreases were recorded throughout the center and north, and in the south, prices remained unchanged. On an annual basis, between February-March last year and February-March this year, prices fell by 1.2%.
