Around 5 p.m. on Saturday evening, a report was received at the ZAKA hotline about a 49-year-old man who was found lifeless in a tent near the religious council in Meron.
MDA teams were forced to declare him dead at the scene.
ZAKA Northern District volunteers were on site, treating the scene and honoring the deceased.
Shai Schlesinger, a ZAKA volunteer from the Northern District, who is handling the scene, said: "This is a difficult and painful case. The man arrived in Meron with his family, and set up a tent in the settlement, near the synagogue, to stay there and pray at the Rashbi's memorial.
""While his daughters went to pray, he apparently collapsed in the tent due to cardiac arrest. When they returned, they found him lifeless. ZAKA Northern District volunteers are treating the difficult scene with dedication and respect for the deceased.""
The funeral of Rabbi Nachman Moudad, a disciple of the late Rabbi Chaim Cohen, who was known as "the milkman," will leave tonight at 10:30 PM from 47 Nordau Street in the Pardes Katz neighborhood - to the Beit HaChaim Ponbiz House in Bnei Brak.
