Rebbetzin Amalia Lasri paid tribute this morning (Sunday) in a tearful and faith-filled interview to her niece Nasia Karadi, 11, who died of her wounds after being hit by an Iranian missile on the eve of Passover at her home on Rimon Street in Bnei Brak.
In a conversation with Yaki Adamker and Israel Cohen on "Kol Berama," she said: "Nasia was a tall soul in a small body, for three weeks with Israel a lot in prayers. Seeing her was just enough to make you smile. She managed to connect the people of Israel with love and connection, people from all over the world called to ask how she was. A week after she was injured, the war ended.".
She said of her father's greatness: "God blessed my brother with ten children, and just as he didn't complain when they were born, he didn't complain when the girl was taken from him. God does no wrong. Nesia's father was born without a father, eight months after our father died in the army. We grew up in faith, this is a home of devotion. Apparently the people of Israel need prayers, Nesia came into the world to bring redemption.".
The Rebbetzin added: "These prayers will not be in vain. A little girl succeeded in uniting the entire Jewish people. I ask the Jewish people to take upon themselves two things for the upliftment of Nesiya's soul - to say 'Asher Yazer' while standing and not to speak in a synagogue during prayer.".
