Media personality Avishai Ben-Haim, Channel 13's veteran commentator on ultra-Orthodox affairs, is in talks to join the "Patriots" program on Channel 14, after 16 years as a commentator on the competing channel.
This was reported today (Thursday) by Ran Booker, a cultural affairs correspondent on the Ynet website.
Ben Haim has disappeared from the screen since the outbreak of the war two and a half years ago - and explained his silence: "When the guns fire on Israelis - we don't argue, we just hug.".
This week he tweeted: "I will soon be back on the TV screen, after two and a half years of trying to remain silent.".
The beloved commentator added that he has published a new book called "The Traditionalist Manifesto," which will soon be published by Yedioth Sfarim. He said the book is "the sweet gospel, the blueprint for reconciliation.".
He added and wrote: "Begin taught us that there is no separation between Judaism and Zionism. Rabbi Ovadia educated us to accept with Sephardic moderation. Ovadia and her friends show us through music how significant the renaissance of traditionalism is in this generation.".
He signed: "First, let's deal with this mandatory book. It truly offers a beautiful and unifying proposal for Israeli society.".
