Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the campaign against Iran this evening (Sunday) and stated that it is still far from over.
""The war with Iran is not over, any moment could bring about a new development," Netanyahu said at a press conference with Argentine President Javier Millí.
During the meeting, Milley emphasized his absolute support for Israel and its right to self-defense, while declaring that Argentina will continue to work to promote the transfer of its embassy to Jerusalem as a sovereign and binding step.
Milley also addressed the regional situation, welcomed the progress in US-sponsored diplomatic talks, and noted that his country sees Israel as a first-rate strategic partner in the fields of technology and security.
The Prime Minister thanked President Milley for his "true friendship" and for his arrival in Israel at this particular time, and noted that Argentina's firm position in the international arena constitutes an important tailwind for the State of Israel.
The two leaders agreed to establish joint working teams to expand economic cooperation between the countries, with an emphasis on the fields of energy and advanced agriculture.
Netanyahu said at the press conference: "The war with Iran is not over, any moment can bring about a new development." The prime minister also said: "Every time Milley visits Israel, it's before something very big happens. Who knows what will happen tomorrow or the day after tomorrow?""
President Millay said: "In November, the first direct flight in history from Buenos Aires to Tel Aviv will begin operating. Our ties will be closer than ever. It is an honor and a pride for me to be the president who makes this important statement. Argentina shares moral, spiritual and political unity with Israel.".
This is the third meeting between the two in Israel since Milley took office. The guest is expected to light a torch on Mount Herzl as a sign of appreciation for his extraordinary contribution to the Jewish people and the State of Israel.
Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar, who signed some of the agreements between the countries, said: "We want to thank you, President Milley, for your leadership and the fresh spirit you have brought not only to your country, but also to the struggle of those who believe in the values of the free world around the world and in Latin America. We are facing incredible progress in our bilateral relations. And today we celebrate two great achievements.
""We are signing an agreement to combat terrorism, and the time has come to say that Argentina, under your leadership, is presenting a moral dimension in foreign policy. This is reflected in the declaration of the Quds Force and the Revolutionary Guards as terrorist organizations. And it is clear that we need to cooperate.".
Foreign Ministers Gideon Sa'ar of Israel and Pablo Quirno of Argentina signed three agreements.
Isaac's Agreements: A framework for broad regional cooperation between Israel and South American countries.
Fight against terrorism: Strengthening intelligence and operational cooperation between countries.
Technology and Artificial Intelligence: Cooperation agreements between the innovation authorities of Israel and Argentina.
Alongside this, the Argentine Foreign Minister also signed with Transportation Minister Miri Regev the launch of a direct El Al airline route from Israel to Argentina.
