Tel Aviv's maritime police officers rescued a surfer who was swept out to sea last night (Saturday night) after he went surfing on Herzliya Beach, despite rough sea conditions, which led to a real danger to his life.
Upon receiving the report, the police went to the scene and conducted quick scans, using powerful lighting, during which they located the surfer in the stormy waters - and rescued him safely to the shore, safe and sound.
The police said: "This was a quick, professional and precise action by the police, which led to saving lives and preventing a disaster.
""The Israel Police urges the public to act responsibly and avoid entering the sea in stormy weather conditions. You should check the weather forecast in advance, and be sure to inform a loved one before entering the water.".
