British police announced today (Friday) the reinforcement of security around the Israeli embassy in London - following suspicions that dangerous materials were being thrown at the embassy building using drones.
According to a report in 'Kan News', the suspicion arose following a video published last night by the 'Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamiya' organization, which is affiliated with Iran - and has recently acted against Jewish targets in Europe.
The organization claimed to have directed drones carrying "radioactive and carcinogenic material" towards the Israeli embassy.
The Foreign Ministry stated: "A suspected security incident in the park near the Israeli Embassy in London was investigated. It is clarified that all embassy employees are safe and that the embassy was not attacked.".
A statement from the UK's Metropolitan Police said: "As a precautionary measure, some of the officers deployed are wearing protective clothing. We understand this may be of concern to local residents and the general public. We do not believe there is an increased risk to public safety at this time, but we would urge people to avoid the area while officers are carrying out their work. There are barriers in place and there is no public access to the gardens and surrounding area.".
In a video released by the group, two people dressed in white suits were filmed operating drones decorated with the organization's logo.
The video, which appeared to have been filmed in a local park, then showed a drone taking off in the evening.
According to 'Kan News', this is the same organization that claimed responsibility for the recent terrorist attacks in Europe, including: synagogues in Liège, the Jewish school in Amsterdam, the ambulances in the Jewish community in London, the pro-Israel Christian center in the Netherlands, and other cases.
