The Ministry of Health updated this morning (Friday) that from today until Saturday night, high to very high air pollution is expected in all parts of the country.

According to data from the Ministry of Environmental Protection, these are unusual concentrations of particles in the air that affect breathing quality.

In light of the high levels of contamination, the Ministry of Health is calling on sensitive populations to exercise extra caution. This group includes: the elderly, pregnant women, children, and patients with chronic diseases - with an emphasis on heart and respiratory diseases.

For these populations, the recommendation is to avoid spending extended periods outside buildings and to completely avoid strenuous physical activity outdoors.

Even for the rest of the healthy population, the Ministry of Health recommends reducing strenuous physical activity outdoors as much as possible during the weekend.

Weather forecast:

The weather today (Friday) will remain warmer than usual until late, when, in contrast to the recent sunny days, rain and thunderstorms will return to our area.

During the day, localized rain is expected in most regions of the country, and there will be a risk of flooding in the rivers of the Judean Desert and the Dead Sea, the Negev, and the Arava.

On Saturday, the scorching heat is expected to break and become normal for the season. In the north, there may be localized rain, while in the south it will continue to be cloudy, with partly cloudy weather expected in all parts of the country.

On Monday, there may be rain in the north, along with a further drop in temperatures in all parts of the country.

The comfortable temperatures are expected to continue through the middle of next week, which will be accompanied by local rain in the north and even in the center of the country, according to the forecast.
