According to a report on Channel I24, during the investigation of the accident it was revealed that the truck driver, 55 years old from Toba Zangaria, has 185 previous convictions for traffic offenses.
An initial investigation revealed that a truck driver was traveling from east to west, and for a reason that is still under investigation, the truck he was driving veered to the right shoulder and crashed into trees on the side of the road.
When he returned to the road, the cart overturned on its left side, and during the overturn, it swerved into the opposite lane and collided with a private vehicle driven by a resident of the north - who was pronounced dead at the scene.
After an initial investigation, the driver was detained for questioning and a hearing was held for him, during which his driver's license was revoked for 90 days by a police officer.
Depending on the development of the investigation, the driver will be brought before the Nazareth Magistrate's Court today with a request to extend his detention.
