The reserve soldiers from "Force 100," who were involved in the alleged abuse of a Gaza terrorist who was imprisoned in the "Sade Yemen" camp, have been returned to active reserve duty.
According to a report on Galei Tzahal, Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir confirmed their return to service, and a large number of the fighters are even taking an active part in fighting in one of the sectors these days.
This decision comes about a month after the legal drama at the Military Attorney's Office, during which the Chief Military Attorney, Major General Itai Ofir, announced a sweeping cancellation of the indictments against the fighters.
The MAG justified his extraordinary decision on the grounds of "defense of justice," while criticizing the conduct of IDF law enforcement officials in the affair.
In addition, difficulties were noted in the evidentiary infrastructure, which worsened following the release of the Gaza terrorist back to the Strip, a step that made it difficult to continue the legal process.
An IDF spokesman said in response to the publication in the Israeli Military Gazette: "A command investigation has not yet been conducted into the issue of Force 100 fighters after the trial in their case was canceled. Conducting the investigation does not prevent them from serving in the reserves, the command investigation will be completed as soon as possible.".
