Ten fighters from the Paratrooper Brigade were injured last night (Tuesday) in a close-range clash with Hezbollah terrorists in the town of Bint Jabil - the IDF's main fighting center in the sector.

A force from the 101st Paratroopers Battalion operated within the town, which is a strategic stronghold for Hezbollah.

During the operation, the fighters encountered a terrorist squad and a fierce and prolonged gunfight ensued.

Three fighters were seriously injured, another fighter was moderately injured, and six more fighters were lightly injured.

Immediately after the exchange of fire ended, a complex rescue operation began: some of the wounded were evacuated in Air Force helicopters, while the rest were evacuated on horseback outside the Lebanese border and from there to hospitals. The fighters' families were informed of their injuries.
