A moving tribute to the Israeli ambassador to the US: A representative of the Chabad kollel, Rabbi Zalman Duchman, flew especially from New York to the Holy Land to visit and encourage the Israeli Ambassador to the US, Dr. Yechiel Leiter, after his son Neriah Dov was injured in a terrorist attack.
During the visit, Rabbi Duchman told the ambassador that he was coming directly from the Lubavitcher Rebbe's memorial in Queens, where he offered a special prayer for the complete recovery of his son - Neria Dov ben Hanna.
""All of Chabad is praying for your son's full recovery," he told the ambassador.
Ambassador Leiter, who had been exposed to the extensive activities of the 'Kollel' for years, was moved by the gesture. "My first stop upon my return to the US will be at the Rebbe's tent again," said Rabbi Zalman.
At the end of the meeting, the ambassador asked to convey warm greetings to Rabbi Zalman's father, Chabad Kollel Director Rabbi Shalom Duchman, with whom he maintains a warm relationship.
