As part of the police's ongoing struggle against the illegal possession and use of weapons in Arab society, police officers from the Umm al-Fahm station, along with fighters from the tactical brigade and a police dog, operated in an open area in the city.
During targeted searches, the police dog marked a suspicious spot on the ground. The fighters and police began searching and digging at the site - uncovering weapons that had been disposed of and hidden deep in the ground.
The weapon was seized by the forces and transferred to the forensic laboratory for further evidence extraction, in order to produce forensic findings and locate those suspected of hiding it.
