Samaria Council Chairman Yossi Dagan and Binyamin Council Chairman and Yesha Council Chairman Yisrael Gantz arrived this evening (Wednesday) at Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem to stand by the Leiter family.
The two issued a joint statement after the attack in which Neriah Leiter was seriously injured.
Neria lives on the Yair farm in Samaria. His parents, Hani and Yechiel Leiter, live with their husbands in Binyamin.
Israel Gantz said: "Unfortunately, this is a serious attack. Within a week, there were two attacks in Binyamin and another attack in Samaria. I came here with my friend Yossi Dagan. Neriah is a resident of Samaria, and his parents are residents of Ali in Binyamin. We are here together to be with the family.
""The time has come to defeat the authority that educates for terrorism and pushes for terrorism. The illusion of Areas A, B, and C is dangerous for Israel. The State of Israel must seize the open areas, apply Israeli law to them, and station police and military forces there.".
Yossi Dagan said: "In these times there is no right or left. The entire people of Israel unite in praying for the recovery of the warrior Neriah Dov ben Hanna. We embrace his wife, the family and the entire Havat Yair community. The settlement in Samaria, the settlement in Binyamin and the entire people of Israel are strong together. You will never break us. We will build more, we will travel and we will continue to live here.".
Dagan added: "It's time to drain the swamp. We do not recognize the concept of 'lone wolf terrorism.' There is an authority here that incites terrorism, and there is an attack almost every day. The people of Israel expect a determined response and answers from the government. It's time to stop this. The government must turn the tables.".
