A 31-year-old resident of Tamra is charged with security offenses after being suspected of contacting Hamas' military wing with the aim of secretly assisting the organization.
According to a statement from the Shin Bet and the police, the suspect was arrested about two weeks ago in a joint operation by the two organizations.
His interrogation revealed that the defendant contacted the Izz ad-Din al-Qassem Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip, several times with the aim of secretly assisting them.
It also emerged during his interrogation that he had made contact with Iranian intelligence officials but did not manage to carry out missions for them and was arrested.
This morning, at the end of his interrogation, an indictment against him will be filed with the Haifa District Court through Attorney Shir Mushiev of the Haifa District Attorney's Office.
At the same time, as part of a combined operation by the 433rd Lahav Brigade and the General Security Service, a 32-year-old resident of Majd al-Krom was arrested about three weeks ago on suspicion of committing security offenses after contacting a foreign agent to carry out security missions under his direction.
An investigation by Yachabal Lahav 433 and the Shin Bet revealed that for several months the citizen had been in contact with a foreign agent and was asked, under her direction, to carry out security missions.
During the investigation, it emerged that the citizen was aware that the relationship was being managed with a foreign agent from Lebanon and that in return, attempts were made to pay by purchasing products in Israel by the foreign entity and transferring them to the citizen.
The investigation was led by the Coast District Attorney's Office, and the indictment will be filed on Sunday.

""I warn you again: We are in the Galilee in an October 6 atmosphere. Within a few days, it will become clear that what could set the Galilee on fire is not a shepherd's farm, but radical Islamic forces that are establishing themselves in a place where there are not enough Jews.".
""Residents of Majd al-Krum shouted 'Long live Palestine' this week. This is not a mistake, there are forces there who see the State of Israel as an enemy that must be fought.".
""The time has come to transfer the revolution in Judea and Samaria to the Galilee and the Negev, in order to save the State of Israel from next October 7th.".
