Recently, his medical condition deteriorated and many petitioned for the healing of Rabbi Meir Shalom Chai ben Rachel, until last night he returned his soul to his Creator.

The late Rabbi dedicated decades of his life to the study of Torah, to the ruling of halakhic law, and to the training of disciples. During his years of leadership, he trained many disciples who were inspired by his Torah and followed his light, and he became a rabbi and mentor to many.

Alongside his greatness in Torah and his devotion to his students, he was known for his bright face, his broad heart, and his concern for others.

Over the years, he was a partner in Torah and charity projects, and in recent years he also served as rabbi of the David Foundation organization, which assists widows and orphans.

Businessman Eviater Elbaz, chairman of the David Fund and one of his associates, eulogized him: "For years we benefited from his advice, his blessings, and his guidance. The rabbi was a guide for us in Torah and kindness, and his concern for widows and orphans was from the bottom of his heart. This is a great loss to the world of Torah and to all who were privileged to know him.".

The funeral procession left the "Temple of Solomon" synagogue on Ahavat Yisrael Street in Tel Zion at 10:30 this morning, and continued to the funeral home on Har Hamenuchot in Jerusalem at 1:00 PM, where he will be buried.

The family members sit in shiva at the 'Temple of Solomon' seminary, 30 Ahavat Yisrael Street, Tel Zion.
