As part of the treatment, a pacemaker will be implanted in the Rebbe's body.
The treatment, which was supposed to take place before Rosh Hashanah, was postponed at the request of the Rebbe until after the holiday.
During the days of Rosh Hashanah, the Rebbe, who is dealing with a serious illness, passed before the Ark in prayers as is his custom. .
The Rebbe's office said: "The Rebbe of Vizhnitz will undergo medical treatment for his heart at 8:30 this morning. All of Israel continues to petition for the treatment of the Rebbe, Rabbi Yisrael ben Leah Esther, among the rest of the sick in Israel.".
