A special train carrying Western dignitaries - including former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson - was evacuated in Ukraine last night (Sunday) following a warning about a Russian drone.
According to a report in 'Kan News', the train on which Johnson was traveling from Kiev to Poland stopped around 5 a.m. after drones were detected in the area.
According to the report, the train traveling behind them, on the Kiev-Warsaw line, was hit shortly afterwards by a Russian drone near the Polish border. The locomotive was damaged, but there were no casualties.
The attack occurred only about two kilometers from the Polish border.
According to the Daily Mail, the special train also included foreign and security advisors to the governments of Britain, France, Italy and Germany, German members of parliament, diplomats and academics.
They were in Kiev as part of the Yalta European Strategy Conference, which dealt, among other things, with efforts to reach peace negotiations with Russia.
At the same time, damage was reported to the Yahudin-Dorohusk border crossing, one of the main transportation routes between Ukraine and the European Union.
According to the report, footage of burning trucks at the border crossing was distributed on social media, and damage to a gas station was also reported.
