A Syrian citizen managed to arrive last night (Monday) near an IDF post in the southern Golan Heights, on the Syrian side of the border, without being detected.
The IDF is investigating the incident.
Military sources told Channel 12 that the citizen was taken for questioning by security forces. According to them, the initial investigation into the incident indicates that it was not an attempt to carry out an attack.
Meanwhile, during the night, another incident occurred on the Syrian border: IDF forces arrested two Syrian citizens in the Hermon sector, on suspicion that they were involved in smuggling attempts at the border.
The two suspects arrested in the Hermon sector were also transferred for questioning by security officials.
