Otzma Yehudit Chairman, Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, held a press conference this afternoon (Friday) together with MK Tali Gottlieb - who is joining his party ahead of the elections for the 26th Knesset.
Ben Gvir announced that Gottlieb would be placed second on the party list - he was given up by Minister Yitzhak Wasserlauf, who would be placed third.
Ben Gvir: "I saw publications this week that Tali Gottlieb will receive fourth place. The truth is that the place intended for her is third place, but Wasserlauf contacted me and said that he was willing to move to third place for Tali and she would be in second place. Tali is a true force multiplier. We saw how Tali fought like a lioness for the right and the prime minister, and against the deep state.
""They wanted to silence Tali and shut her up. It was not pleasant for Gali, the Rabbi-Miara, and other parties that Tali would act. She fought like a lioness in the plenum. I am proud that she is with us.".
He added: "You can agree with her, you can disagree with her, but everyone knows that when Tali Gottlieb says something, she clearly speaks her truth, exactly what she thinks, without fear, without getting confused, standing up for the truth without fearing anyone. We must work hard to have a true right-wing government, a government that brings true right-wing policies, a government that does not blink in the face of the criminality of the Deep State, and is determined to stand up for itself with all its might.".
Gottlieb said: "I want to preserve the right-wing bloc and I joined Otzma Yehudit to ensure that the bloc will be right-wing and so will the government, without overlooking Eizenkot and other places.".
She added: "This connection will not only bring strength to the right, but will truly be a true mouthpiece for the will of the voters. I very much hope that the right-wing bloc will maintain its strength and grow stronger. After the October inferno, the right is the majority.".
During the statement, Ben Gvir was asked about Minister May Golan's possible joining his party - and replied: "She is a good friend. Wait for the list to be published.".
