""Welcome MK Tali Gottlieb," said Ben Gvir. "Tali, you are joining a family of warriors - the Otzma Yehudit family.".
Ben Gvir praised Gottlieb's activities: "We know and have seen that you are a true fighter. A fighter against injustice. A fighter for justice. A fighter against the deep state. A fighter against those who persecuted our dear prime minister.".
The minister announced: "Tali, we are proud of you. We embrace you. We are glad you are coming - welcome!""
Earlier this evening, the Likud announced that it had reached an agreement with Gottlieb, according to which she will be able to run in the 26th Knesset elections on the Otzma Yehudit list without being declared to have resigned from the Likud faction.
Along with this, it was determined that until the elections, it will continue to be subject to Likud's factional discipline in voting.
The Likud statement said: "The Likud and Tali Gottlieb have agreed that MK Gottlieb will be able to run in the elections for the 26th Knesset with the Otzma Yehudit faction and will not be declared a retiree.
""As part of the agreement, Gottlieb is obligated to be subject to the Likud party's factional discipline in voting until the 26th Knesset. We wish Tali success.".
The agreement came after earlier this week, Otzma Yehudit chairman Itamar Ben-Gvir issued an ultimatum to Likud senior officials demanding that they complete the formal steps necessary for the Knesset member's transition.
Ben Gvir made it clear that he was preparing to determine the position of his party's candidates on the list, after which it would be difficult to make changes.
The agreement announced by the Likud this evening removes the issue of declaring her as 'retiring' - and allows her to run on the Otzma Yehudit list.
