Division 36 recently completed the clearing of two underground Hezbollah hideouts in the Ali Taher Range in southern Lebanon.

According to an IDF spokesman's announcement this evening (Thursday), the forces achieved operational control of the ridge area above and below ground, and cleared the area of terrorists, some of whom were eliminated and some of whom fled the scene.

Operational control was achieved through ambushes, firing shaft attacks, the use of grenades, drones, and fire attacks.

The activity to neutralize the underground infrastructure that was cleared of terrorists is still ongoing.

According to the IDF, after the end of the activity, the IDF will prepare for renewed defense in accordance with the assessment of the situation.

""The terrorists who were in the infrastructure carried out terrorist plots against the State of Israel and IDF forces. Following the activity in their plots in recent weeks, the ability to carry out terrorist plots against citizens of the State of Israel and IDF forces from within the plots was neutralized," the IDF statement said.

The underground infrastructure contained command centers, weapons rooms, generator rooms, living rooms, showers, and a kitchen that allowed the terrorists to conduct the fighting and stay there for long periods of time.

According to military data, this is a strategic infrastructure that was built over two decades, financed and planned by the Iranian terrorist regime.

Both infrastructures were used by the unit's terrorists to manage fire systems and execute terror plots against Israeli citizens and security forces over the past decades.

During the war, and particularly in Operations 'Northern Arrows' and 'Harry's Roar', the terrorist organization's terrorists used these routes continuously.

The IDF has recently advanced into the Ali Taher Ridge area, after weakening Hezbollah throughout the fighting.

""IDF forces continue to work to clear the security area in southern Lebanon, and will not allow the Hezbollah terrorist organization to advance terrorist plots against them," the IDF statement said. "Any attempted action by the Hezbollah terrorist organization against IDF forces will be met with force. The IDF continues to be committed to the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon.".

The Upper Galilee Regional Council updated that in the coming hours the IDF is expected to carry out a series of attacks on the Lebanese front.

Explosions are expected to be heard in the Western Galilee, the Hula Valley and the Ramim Range, and possibly also in the northern Golan Heights. There is no change in the instructions for the public.
