The Supreme Planning Council (SPC) is set to advance approval of 1,516 new housing units in the Judea, Samaria, and Jordan Valley regions, alongside the full administrative regulation of three localities.

The move, led by the Minister of Finance and Minister of Defense Bezalel Smotrich, is intended to strengthen the grip on the territory and respond to development needs and growing demand.

As part of the construction plans in the Samaria Regional Council area, three projects will be promoted to the deposit stage: In the Maoz settlement (Maoz Zvi), which was established in 2001 as part of the young settlement, a plan for 101 housing units will be promoted, which will lead to its official regularization, after years of struggle.

In the settlement of Eli Zahav, a plan will be submitted for the construction of 259 new housing units, and in the settlement of Feduel, approval of 95 housing units will be advanced.

Two major plans will be promoted in the Binyamin Regional Council: In the Adi Ad settlement, founded in 1998, a plan to build 219 housing units will be submitted, which will also lead to its final regulation. At the same time, in the Talmon settlement, a plan to build 200 housing units will be promoted for approval.

In the Jordan Valley region, a city building plan (TABA) will be implemented in the new settlement of Ein Yatib, with a scope of 281 housing units. The establishment of the settlement was approved by the Political-Security Cabinet in December 2025, and later the commander of the area of jurisdiction signed off on it, and the Ministry of the Interior produced an official settlement symbol for it. The promotion of the TABA in the area is expected to lead to the absorption of hundreds of new families.

In the ultra-Orthodox settlement of Ma'ale Amos in the Gush Etzion Regional Council, which is characterized by high demand for housing, a plan to build 365 housing units will be advanced for approval.

Minister Smotrich: "Promoting plans on this scale, in Benjamin and Samaria, in the Gush Etzion and in the Jordan Valley, is exciting and gratifying, but no less important for the stability, security and resilience of the State of Israel.".

""We must remember that the Jordan Valley guards our border from the east, and Samaria Benjamin and Gush Etzion guard Afula and Netanya, Kfar Saba, Modi'in and Kiryat Gat. In the face of the Eisenkot-Lieberman-Golan government that wants to destroy and establish a Palestinian state that controls Azrieli and Ben Gurion Airport, we are regulating the settlements of Adi Ad, Maoz (Maoz Zvi) and Ein Yatib. Not with words but with deeds. We will continue to lead a broad construction and regulation momentum because this land belongs to us.".
