The State Attorney's Office filed an indictment today (Wednesday) with the Haifa Magistrate's Court against Khamis Su'ad, 30, a Bedouin resident of Husniyeh, for training or instruction for terrorist purposes - after he worked to prepare himself to join the ISIS terrorist organization and fight in its ranks abroad.
The indictment filed by Attorney Segev Adler of the Haifa Prosecutor's Office indicates that from 2023 until his arrest in August, Suad, who served in the IDF from 2017-2019, showed a growing interest in ISIS and developed ideological identification with the terrorist organization.
In 2024, he decided to go to Syria or Africa and join the ranks of the organization, and to that end, he watched the content and lessons of its senior leaders - and saved money.
During 2026, Suad downloaded manuals and watched videos on the production of missiles and drones, the use of weapons, and military tactics, with the aim of promoting the organization's activities.
