Following the Tax Authority's decision to advance the second payment of the work grant for the 2025 eligibility year, the payment will be transferred to those eligible for the grant as early as Wednesday, September 9, 26 - more than a month before the legal deadline.

This is to allow the public to use the grant funds for the Tishrei holidays.

Those eligible will receive the money directly into their bank account by the end of next week.

A work grant is paid by the Tax Authority to eligible individuals who meet the conditions set forth in the law, with the aim of improving the economic situation of workers at low wage levels, reducing socio-economic gaps, and providing an incentive for their integration into the labor market.

Submitting the grant application is simple and easy, and is done online on the Tax Authority website.

The grant is paid in several installments, depending on the date the application is submitted, with the second installment being paid on October 15 of the year of eligibility. As mentioned, this year, due to the Tishrei holidays, it was decided to advance the installment by more than a month.

The grant is available to employed and self-employed people aged 21 and over, who are parents of children, or aged 55 and over, even without children, whose income meets the criteria set out in the law.

Starting in 2024, an additional work grant will be given to an employee who has raised a toddler (up to age 3). In addition, employed women can apply for an advance on the work grant for the 2026 eligibility year, if they meet the following conditions: they were born after January 1, 1960, they are over 60 years old, and they meet the criteria set forth in the law.

Applications for a work grant for 2024 can still be submitted online through the Tax Authority website, until December 31, 2026.
