MKs Debbie Biton and Tatiana Mazarsky from the collapsing Yesh Atid announced this afternoon (Tuesday) that they are withdrawing from the race for the upcoming Knesset.
In doing so, they join the wave of departures from the party, ahead of the closing of the 'Together' party list next week.
Degel Hatorah chairman, MK Moshe Gafni, celebrated: "The party that received 24 seats is completely collapsing today. In the last term, Yesh Atid dealt time and again with harming the Haredi public, and especially harming teaching staff in Haredi education and the salaries of kindergarten teachers.".
He added: "There is justice and there is justice! This is the result of their wretched activity: 24 mandates of hatred turned into 4 mandates of collapse and still no one is left.".
Yesterday, MKs Meir Cohen and Mickey Levy, veterans of Yesh Atid, announced that they would not be part of the "Behad" list.
Everyone was "shown the way out" in a beautiful way, and yesterday it was announced that Cohen and Levy will receive positions in Yesh Atid: Cohen will be appointed chairman and president of the Yesh Atid conference, while Levy will serve as the party's head of court.
Some of the departures in Yesh Atid occurred early in the term, when former Tourism Minister Yoel Razvozov announced in January 2023 that he was "taking a break from public life" and resigned from the Knesset. Orna Barbiebai, who was placed second on the list, left a few months later to run for mayor of Tel Aviv-Yafo - and lost.
Idan Roll resigned in January 2025, founded the National Majority faction, and later also announced his retirement from the Knesset and political life. Boaz Toporovsky, one of the founders of Yesh Atid, announced his retirement from political life in June, and Ron Katz did the same the following month.
This month, Yoav Seglovitch announced his departure from the party and his resignation from the Knesset, in preparation for joining Mansour Abbas's Ra'am party. Elazar Stern also left after 11 years in Yesh Atid, and later joined the left-wing party 'Yashar!'.
