
Jerusalem police detained seven suspects over the weekend on suspicion of spitting at a religious building and vandalizing Muslim graves in the Old City.
The arrests were made as part of a proactive, overt and covert operation carried out by the police over the weekend.
Initially, four suspects were detained in real time, after allegedly spitting at the Armenian Patriarchate Monastery in the Armenian Quarter.
Additionally, over the weekend, three young men were detained on suspicion of vandalizing Muslim graves in the Old City.
All suspects were questioned on suspicion of behavior that could harm public safety - and were released on conditions.
