What do Israelis fear most in hospitals? According to the survey conducted by the Assuta Institute for Health Policy and Services Research, 88% are afraid of contracting infections in hospitals, 86% are afraid of congestion and overcrowding, and about 80% are afraid of poor hospitalization conditions such as impaired sleep quality, noise, and poor-quality food.

The world of medicine is moving towards home medicine.: About 83% believe that home care helps reduce hospital burdens, and 82% believe that it helps the patient maintain their independence and routine. About 80% believe that home care is more convenient, and over two-thirds believe that it is equally safe as hospital care.
60% testified that they would prefer to be hospitalized at home rather than in the hospital, with areas such as rehabilitation, pre-planned medical conditions, and geriatrics having a high preference for home hospitalization.
Additionally, over half of the respondents indicated that they would choose home hospitalization for their children as well. The main reasons are: reducing infections and reducing anxiety among the children.
However, some respondents expressed concerns about home hospitalization, and approximately 57% testified that they were concerned about the lack of a rapid response in the event of an emergency.
The survey was conducted among a representative sample of approximately 512 respondents.
